Upcoming Board Meeting Information

2:00 p.m.  

The Central Platte Natural Resources District’s board of directors will meet at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 22, 2008, at the NRD office located at 215 N Kaufman Avenue in Grand Island.   

--Variance/Appeals Sub-Committee-  The committee will hear an irrigation certification appeal from Merrick County.  A recommendation will be considered by the board. 

--Water Resources Committee- The committee will:

1)      hear from Dave Ogden, landowner, on soil classifications. 

2)      review the proposed changes for the Rules and Regulations and set a public hearing date.

3)      discuss a short-term lease on B-1 water.

--Budget Committee- The committee will review all project and program budgets for Fiscal 2009.

--Hike & Bike Trails- Ken Gnadt, Grand Island, has requested to discuss hike and bike trails with the directors.

--PRRIP- Mark Czaplewski, biologist, will have an update on the Platte River Recovery Implementation Program’s request for federal funding.

 --NRCS Report- James Huntwork, Natural Resources Conservation Service, will have reports for the board.
