AGRONOMIST
The Central Platte Natural Resources District has an agronomy position available. Duties include working with USDA’s Adaptive Cropping Systems Lab (ACSL) and UNL scientists in assisting with crop and soil models. Must be capable of establishing relationships with growers and gathering multi-year field data associated with local crop production. Work with growers utilizing the model to assist in best management practices associated with nitrogen and water use. Work with growers that have consistently high residual nitrogen and report to CPNRD Management and Directors. This is a three-year grant-funded position. Competitive salary and benefits available. Integrated Water Program Specialist
Central Platte NRD is seeking to hire an Integrated Water Program Specialist. Position will work one-on-one with producers to identify agronomic solutions to address water quality & quantity issues, assist producers with enrollment in conservation programs, host Conservation Program Forums for ag industry leaders & generate materials to highlight conservation opportunities.
