Celebrating Service Milestones

Congratulations to General Manager Lyndon Vogt on 30 years of service to Nebraska’s Natural Resources Districts!
In September, Lyndon was recognized at the NARD Annual Conference for his service with the Central Platte, Lower Niobrara, and Upper Niobrara White NRDs.
Lyndon has served as the General Manager of Central Platte NRD since 2013. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Business Management Technology from UNK and an Associate of Applied Science in Agriculture from Northeast Community College. Lyndon has been part of the NRD system since 1996, bringing extensive experience from his roles as Water Resources Coordinator and General Manager at the Lower Niobrara NRD, as well as General Manager of the Upper Niobrara White NRD. Raised on a farm and ranch in Boyd County, he has a deep understanding of agricultural and water resource management.

Kelly ColeWe also congratulate these CPNRD staff members on their service milestones:

• Kelly Cole, Administrative Assistant — 25 years with CPNRD

Kelly began her role as administrative assistant in December 2019. Kelly has been employed by Central Platte since 2001.  She started as a temp employee entering data for the Groundwater Management Program, chemigation and gallons per minute.  In 2004, she took over Jan Anderson’s position as Programs Coordinator managing the Conservation Tree Program and cost-share programs and assists with the Nebraska Children’s Groundwater Festival and Wellness Committee. Kelly began training with Dianne Miller in 2018 and started as Administrative Assistant in 2019. She is now responsible for the NRD’s accounting, election certifications, insurance, cost-share and travel plans for the board and staff.

Angela Warner• Angela Warner — 20 years with CPNRD

Angela started her career with the CPNRD as an intern in 2005 and has been the GIS Coordinator since 2006. Angie provides technical assistance in creating databases, maps and other GIS projects. She also works with landowners on certified irrigated acres and Waterbank transfers. Angie is the liaison with the county assessors and assists with water rights for the irrigation canal partnerships. She is a member of the Grand Island Groundwater Team and assists with the Outdoor Learning Area planning and maintenance. Angela also presents an activity at the Nebraska Children’s Groundwater Festival.
