Volunteer with Central Platte NRD! We’re seeking volunteers to guide school groups, assist presenters, and help with registration at the Nebraska Children’s Groundwater Festival on Tuesday, May 12th at Central Community College and College Park in Grand Island.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
SETUP:  MONDAY, May 11     1:00 – 4:00 p.m.  Hang schedules at both campuses, distribute presenter items to classrooms, set up tables/chairs in lunch tent, assemble sack lunches, etc.

EVENT:  TUESDAY, May 12 
Classroom Guide: Most needed position! You will guide a school group to the activities on their schedules. Great for those who like to see the activities.
Optional Classroom Guide Training:  4:00 p.m. on Monday, May 11^th at CCC – Festival Registration Area. Training is optional.  We’ll walk through your schedule so you are familiar with the campuses.  If unable to attend training, arrive at least 20 minutes prior to your schedule to familiarize yourself.

Activity Assistant   Assist a presenter with their activity
School Check-In  Check-in schools, connect classroom guide with school group
Guide Check-In   Check-in classroom guides, distribute guide packets, distribute school backpacks, etc.
Presenter Check-In   Check-in presenters distribute nametags, distribute outdoor presenter supplies, etc.
Check-In   Check-in volunteers, distribute nametags, t-shirt table, place outdoor signage, etc.
Lunch Tent  Distribute lunch bags/beverages, monitor recycling containers, keep lunch tent tidy, stack tables/chairs
