Central Platte NRD has an Agronomy position available. Duties include:
– Working with USDA’s Adaptive Cropping Systems Lab (ACSL) and UNL scientists in assisting with crop and soil models.
– Must be capable of establishing relationships with growers and gathering multi-year field data associated with local crop production. Data will be integrated to evaluate ACSL crop models.
– Work with growers utilizing the model to assist in best management practices associated with nitrogen and water use.
– Work with growers that have consistently high residual nitrogen and report to CPNRD Management and Directors.
This is a three-year grant-funded position. Competitive salary and benefits are available.
